Description

This is an old acrylic piece done in exactly 3 hours. I know it was done in exactly 3 hours because this was an assignment for a painting class. We had 3 days to do 3 paintings with 3 hours on each painting... in the middle of frickin summer in a park teaming with yowling greasy 5 year olds and crazy people no less.

>:{ I really hated that painting class. I don't have much of an appreciation for painting things that could just as easily be portrayed by a photograph. I prefer to paint things that can't.

I like some realism pieces because it can portray the time and effort put into a single location or space, it shows to me that it is a special place that is worth more simply because the time was taken to make it special by painstakingly capturing it with paint, that to me is worth more than a captured image.
But i do love fantasy paints :P
