I've been getting some pokes from people asking me what I've been up to so I figured I might as well upload a teaser of all the things I have been working on. I have been 3D printing, working on commissions, making Christmas gifts, and a whole slew of other things. I am a very busy bizzle.
Sadly, this isn't even the whole picture. I still have a metric !@#$%^&*ton of crap in my backburner and WIP folders. XD ZEEEEEESH. To anyone who is actually paying attention and has read the part about articulable spine modeling, please leave a comment. I'd love to discuss the matter and I don't mind doing so in the comments section. Here are the criteria for spine modeling:
1.) Must be able to bend in all directions (I'm thinking ball joints?).
2.) No barrel-rolling. I don't want the vertebrae to spin around.
3.) Design must be as low poly as possible without sacrificing aesthetic, function, or structural integrity.
4.) Must be sturdy as it will be supporting wings, limbs, and head.
5.) Must conform to FDP rules (will explain if need be).
So far what I've come up with is a very carefully constructed ball and socket joint spine with the ball parts being slightly football shaped to prevent rolling but if you have better suggestions, let me know for sure.
